In depth
Verdict
Native Eire, Left Bank and Cardinal Mark are three to concentrate on in this competitive affair with the vote going to Cardinal Mark. The selection was a fair third behind Hugo De Perro over hurdles on his last run. He returns to chasing on a fair mark and with conditions to suit will be hard to beat. Native Eire rates the main danger as he has won his last two races in good style, notably when defeating Monbonami last time over this course and distance, but this looks more competitive and for that reason he is overlooked on this occasion. Left Bank is another worthy of respect as he was a fair second behind Double You Cubed last time, but that came on very fast ground and he is not suited by this slightly softer surface. Santa Lucia is another well-in on his best form so he could go well at a price, but Cardinal Form has solid form and gets the vote.
