Verdict
Though a winner four times on the Flat, Bal De Rio has finished second in five of his six starts over hurdles including this race last year. He is getting 14lb from RAVENHILL but would be receiving 20lb were this a handicap so it’s difficult to oppose the Irish raider, who was just beaten at Limerick after back-to-back victories at Downpatrick and Kilbeggan. None of the remaining trio make any appeal.
