    Verdict

Rip Rocks Paddy Ok beat a huge field of maidens at Cork before his saddle slipped and unseated his rider at Galway last week. Hammerstein landed a Killarney maiden and was up against two smart performers when last of three at Downpatrick. CONSTRUCT, twice a winner on the Flat, made all for a very convincing victory over 2m3f at Downpatrick and with further progress will take some catching. Jon Ess has been racing in decent company over timber since scoring on the Flat in April Feel Des Mottes had a couple of runs in France before landing a Killarney maiden narrowly from Morning Skye for new connections but then ran poorly at Bellewstown.
