Verdict

Academy Rose was there with every chance when falling heavily at the second last in the race won by Popcorn at Thurles in March and has been given time to recover. Baileys Ruffit has gradually improved and ran very well when totally unfancied at Down Royal. She'll make further progress while Ross Bay had some very strong form in bumpers and his breeding suggests he'll make a fine jumper, though probably over further. SOME SAY showed some ability on her debut in April but really caught the eye over this C&D the following month, staying on strongly from an unpromising position to finish runner-up to Lisrenny Lady. She looks certain to improve and can take this on only her third career start.
