In depth

Verdict

Irish Minister got off the mark when making all over a mile on heavy ground at Gowran and didn't have much of a chance when tackling Group 3 company at the Curragh, though he led for a long way over that 1m2f. Betsey Trotter takes a step up in trip after landing a Navan maiden over an extended 5f and her pedigree is all about sprinting. SIRJACK THOMAS changed stables over the winter and made an eye-catching start for Qatar Racing at Listowel earlier this month. With that under his belt, he'll take some beating here. Not A Bad Oul Day is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and has won nine races though hasn't been at his best in two runs this season. St Brelades Bay hasn't won over a trip this far but has been staying on in strong handicaps over shorter and looks a threat with Tom Madden's claim a bonus.
