In depth

Verdict

DUSTY TRAIL goes from strength to strength and followed his very easy victory at Clonmel with success in a maiden hurdle at Tramore. He's jumped a massive 13lbs in the handicap for his latest victory on the Flat but looks capable of defying the extra weight. Strandfield Lady looked ready to win again soon when staying on strongly behind Cabin Point at Roscommon and she's at the right end of the handicap while Secretariat's Soul is gradually getting the hang of things and should be losing her maiden tag before long. Playdate has won just once in 18 starts but has dropped to a very fair mark as a consequence and her recent efforts at Roscommon and Limerick suggest her turn is close.
