Verdict
AMRON HILL is the pick ahead of Victory Quest and Dart. Reg Hollinshead's team enjoyed a fine end to 2008 and this late developing five-year-old could be the ticket for the veteran handler on this occasion. An easy winner over course-and-distance, he promises plenty and is at the right end of the handicap to deliver. Victory Quest is a repeat course winner but he seems far better over two miles these days so he is reluctantly left alone over today's trip. Dart is somewhat inconsistent though is proven over course and distance. Mikado was a high class hurdler on his day but has ran poorly on the flat on his last three starts. Swords has won around here previously but seems a better type around Wolverhampton. A competitive race that can go the way of Amron Hill.
