Verdict
A typically wide open Southwell handicap and we will give a narrow vote to Attorney, with Shadow Jumper and Straffan put forward as the main dangers. On the face of Paul Blockley's eight-year-old appears out of form but he has actually been running quite well without troubling the judge. He has been steadily dropping down the weights and as his last victory was gained off a mark of 64 he does hold an obvious chance under Robert Winston. Shadow Jumper has been in great heart recently and put in another solid display last time out when chasing home Winthorpe over course and distance. Another big run can be expected. Meanwhile Straffan has to enter calculations following an excellent victory her last Sunday. There are a many others to consider for each-way betting including the improving Alexia Rose, however Attorney looks the pick of the weights today and can take the honours.
