Verdict
Not a bad little novices' hurdle for the track and one where LORD GENEROUS can have the edge over Chamirey and Alora Money. The selection was a very easy winner of a similar Warwick contest last time, for which he carries the requisite penalty here. Good ground appears to suit best, Tony McCoy is happy enough to retain the mount on the five-year-old, and he looks likely to prove better than his official mark of 120 suggests, so we will side with him. The ground does not look to be ideal for fellow penalty-carrier Chamirey, who stayed on well for his Uttoxeter when over 2m 5f on soft going last month. Even so, he has some very solid form in the locker and should not be far away. Alora Money landed a Carlisle maiden over a similar trip and then failed to successfully carry her own penalty last time back at the same track. Better ground may help her cause today. Calusa Shadow is lightly-raced and open to a fair degree of improvement, although this longer trip is not certain to suit, while points winner Chibuku has plenty to prove racing under rules for the first time. Lord Generous is suggested here.
