        In depth

        Verdict

        Shawkantango registered the first of his four C&D wins in this race last year and is understandably much higher in the weights this time around. He's not in great form either and, along with Bookiesindex Boy finished behind No Mean Trick when the latter was second over track and trip last month. Paul Midgley's charge looks a leading contender dropping down a grade but top weight LA CAPRIOSA is just preferred. A multiple winner on the FIbresand, he's 12lb lower than his latest victory here including Raul Da Silva's claim and can return to winning ways on only his second start for a new yard.
