In depth
Verdict
Another open handicap for punters to fathom with many in form rivals in opposition including Patientes Virtis, Catch The Cat and Empress Josephine and the vote goes to the last named. The filly from the John Jenkins yard won in the style of an improver last time put and although she has risen in the weights it would be no surprise to see her win again. Patientes Virtis rates the main danger he ran a fair race in a better contest on turf last time out and if he goes on this surface he is a danger to all. Catch The Cat is on a fair mark compared to his turf rating but he has yet to reproduce that form on this surface so is readily opposed. Of the remainder Shirley Not and Silver Mascot are from shrewd yards and are worth noting in the market but we are happy to stick with Empress Josephine.
