In depth

Little Windmill could not be in better form having won three of his last four over hurdles and fences. Neil King’s eight-year-old is now on a career-high mark, however. Overtoujay has been raised 7lb for a narrow victory at Stratford so also looks vulnerable. MURRAY MOUNT’s recent win came over the smaller obstacles but he only found one too good off a higher mark at Worcester over fences around this time last year. A winner here over timber, he’s worth another try over this longer trip. Ffos Las winner Cornish Warrior failed to cope with a higher mark at Stratford but a case can be made for both River Of Intrigue and Packettotherafters on the pick of their form.

Murray Mount (IRE) 9-2 (11-9) Held up, headway after 4 out, challenged next, driven to lead narrowly before next, kept on under pressure flat, eased near finish, won at Worcester 2m 4f hcp (5) gd in Sep beating Live For Today (10-0) by 3/4l, 10 ran.

Definitly Grey (IRE) 25-1 (11-5) Mid-division, not fluent 8th, struggling 11th, pulled up before 3 out, at Uttoxeter 3m 2f hcp (4) gd in Jun.

Cornish Warrior (IRE) 5-2 (11-13) Led until 5th, remained prominent, driven 12th, weakened 2 out, 3rd of 5, 21 1/2l behind Fear Glic (11-12) at Stratford 2m 7f hcp (4) gd in Aug.

Overtoujay 4-1 (11-7) Mid-division, headway chasing leaders when slipped up on bend before 4 out, led next, ridden clear between last 2, idled slightly run-in, stayed on, won at Stratford 2m 7f hcp (5) gd in Sep beating Torhousemuir (11-6) by 1/2l, 12 ran.
