        Verdict

        ZAFFEU could be primed to retain the title he won twelve month ago with the main dangers coming from They All Laughed and Amazing Request. The selection hasn't been seen a great deal since taking this race last year but he did so off similar terms. After a much needed pipe-opener he has been running back into form in a couple of conditional's events and now reunited with the jockey who piloted him to a three timer last year he looks good. They All Laughed has been close in slightly better races than this behind some in form types recently. Those form lines may prove strong enough to take this race. Amazing Request returns to the level after showing bits and pieces over obstacles. This is his first run for 194 days but as long has he's fit he has claims on old form in better races than this. Supersonic made a good return to the level after just a day's rest last time to stay on and claim a runners-up spot in a similar race. Although the form has been weak from that contest so far he's bound to be slightly fresher this time and has claims. It's another tricky contest in which Zaffeu can use his decent course record to his advantage.
