In depth
Verdict
Swords and Irish raider Amberlina catch the eye here, with the vote going to Swords. High Frequency and Nevsky Bridge look best of the rest. Swords warmed up for this with a fair run here over a mile. The best of the home party on ratings, he suggested at Windsor last year that he would be ok at this trip and, with some improvement possible now at it, he looks a strong contender today. The Irish raider Amberlina warrants respect, particularly based on a Fairyhouse handicap second off a mark of 49 in September. She is respected, while Willie Muir has been among the winners of late and High Frequency has shown enough to suggest that he must be given some thought in first-time blinkers. Nevsky Bridge showed improvement when tried on this surface for the first time last time and, with further improvement possible over this longer trip, earns a fair mention. The others need to find form they haven't shown lately to get in amongst things which, in turn, returns us to the selection, which is Swords.
