Verdict
Blue Power and Brave Burt stand out on official ratings, and we will go with that, with the overall vote going to Brave Burt. A course and distance winner, Blue Power would have an excellent chance if getting back to the form that saw him finish second to Wunderbra over course and distance in August. The advantage he has over Brave Burt is that he has experience of the surface and comes here fit. However, Brave Burt was placed at Newbury on Turf from a rating of 80 during the summer, and if anywhere near that type of form on only his second all-weather outing, must hold a leading chance. Scary Night is also a course and distance winner but disappointed in first-time blinkers last time, and they remain on again today. Henry Tun certainly has a chance at this level and ran fairly well over course and distance last time, while Marengo loves it here but has yet to win over five furlongs. Pleasure Time was noted making late headway last time and, if turning back the clock, could be given a shout, Torent can also be given a shout for a place and Sir Sandrovitch certainly should bag some money if repeating the form of his Wolverhampton run last time. That said, for us it is hard to get away from Brave Burt, who gets our vote
