Verdict
A poor contest gets proceedings underway but something has to win but the principals look to be Dellagio, Mambazo and Mr Spliffy and the vote is given to Dellagio. The selection has been in good form of late and was a fair third behind Cark last time out, this looks easier and from a good draw he looks the one to be on. Mambazo rates the main danger on his best form because although he has been disappointing of late that has been on turf, his best efforts have been on this surface and off what looks a handy mark he will not be far away. Mr Spliffy is another worthy of respect as he goes well at the track but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when third behind Dellagio last time and for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Cark is sure to have his supporters as he won well last time out but this looks more competitive and he may struggle under his penalty.Of the remainder Hello Roberto has dropped to a handy and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Dellagio.
