In depth

Verdict

There was plenty of confidence behind COSIMO DE MEDICI when he returned to this track in August and he duly obliged. That was over 1m6f but he stays today's longer trip and Hughie Morrison's charge gets the nod. Masterful Act won an all-weather bumper here early in the year and is back on this surface for the first time since while Mawaakef has raced only once at this track but ran well for second over a mile. One Pursuit has hit form with a vengeance and scored easily over 1m4f at Newbury last time. He has a 10lb hike to contend with today but is a dual course winner and looks a danger.
