Verdict
IRISH OCTAVE didn't win in a dozen starts over hurdles but has improved markedly over fences, completing a hat-trick at around this trip. He only just got up at Uttoxeter last time and is 6lb higher but the opposition here looks negligible. Boyfromnowhere won two point-to-points last summer but failed to fire in his last two starts for new connections and hasn't been seen for over a year. Glenteeneasaigh had plenty of success between the flags but has shown nothing over regulation fences and stable companion Ronnie Lawson looks more of a threat. Unbeaten in three point-to-points, he's had three runs over hurdles for new connections and starts out over fences on a very lowly mark.
