Verdict

Interstice may be the answer to a tricky opening event, with Lazzaz and Our Glenard another couple to consider. This is definitely not a race to get heavily involved in, but Interstice is on a four-pound lower mark than when gaining the last of his three course victories. Any money in the ring would add to our confidence, and his lady pilot has ridden him before. Formerly trained in the Czech Republic, the seven-year-old is expected to go jumping eventually, but before then it is hoped that a winning opportunity on the Flat will come his way again. Peter Hiatt does well with his small string and Lazzaz can boast a victory at Wolverhampton in September. However, he does not look well off at the weights, and may be good enough for a place only. Our Glenard will appreciate the step up in trip after being found wanting over a mile here in November. Daunted should be noted in the market, but a sporting bet on Interstice is the recommendation.
