      Verdict

      THANK YOU JOY's best recent form came over this C&D when third on her penultimate start. John Jenkins' filly ran below par at Wolverhampton last time but is given another chance back at this track. She's narrowly preferred to Jo Boy, whose ability to stay today's trip is in doubt after finishing third over 7f at Kempton last time. But there are no doubts about Volcanic Ash, who attempted to make all over the extended mile at Wolverhampton recently. Gordy Bee had an off-day here three weeks ago but had finished a respectable fourth in a nursery at this track before that.
