In depth

Verdict

A trappy handicap gets proceedings underway but something has to win and the principals look to be Spoof Master, Count Cougar and Double Bill and the vote is given to Spoof Master. The selection has been in good form of late without winning but was a fair second behind Judge 'n' Jury last time out. That form looks solid in the context of this race and off what remains a fair mark he looks the one to be on. Double Bill rates the main danger on his latest third behind Bo McGinty, he looks sure to come on for the run and with his yard in form he will not be far away. Count Cougar loves it round here and is sure to run his race but he looks in the handicappers grip at present. Dickie Le Davoir looks sure to have the race run to suit but his best form of late has come in claimers. Of the remainder Tilly's Dream has the ability to win off this mark but she is hard to win with and for the winner we return to Spoof Master
