    Verdict

    Slinky McVelvet ran out an easy winner against weaker opposition in a claimer here last month. It's no surprise to see her take a 12lb hike in the weights and she takes on another impressive course winner in EXCEL BEST today. The latter scored by six lengths on his handicap debut over track and trip and James Tate's colt is taken to shrug off a penalty and go in again. Beverley winner, Eddiemaurice and Yeah Baby are both returning from a lay-off and having their first starts on the Fibresand.
