        Verdict

        Only one of these runners has won over course and distance and with that one back to a fairer mark we side with HIGHLAND RIVER with All Guns Firing looking the danger while Lady Longcroft could be a value each-way play in this tight handicap. As well as that course win when a pound better off two starts back the selection is one of only two in the field to have scored over this test. Granted this one isn't the most consistent but he should be seen in a better light than his last run when he strugged under a penalty. All Guns Firing now looks to be down to a workable burden and ran well at this track in a maiden two starts back. His handicap form gives him a chance but there are plenty of negatives to lead to opposition. Apart from the pick Lady Longcroft is the only other in this line-up to have won on this surface and down to a career low mark has to be considered for prize money at a bigger price. Mister Frosty and Boy Dancer can also be added to calculations based on recent runs but with more positives than the others Highland River gets the pick.
