In depth
Verdict
Maunby Raver is in good form at present and can score again at the expense of Muy Bien, Redbank and Phluke. Maunby Raver has taken an immediate liking to the all-weather, scoring on his first try in nursery-company at Wolverhampton, and adding to his tally at Lingfield 12 days ago. In between that he was beaten a length and a half by Muy Bien over today's course and distance, and strictly on the book will once again find that one a tough rival. However, young Rory Moore has built up a good relationship with Pat Haslam's juvenile of late, and the pair is taken to go in again. Redbank lost his place during his sand debut at Wolverhampton but may have more to offer based on his earlier outings at Newmarket, while Phluke would appear to have it to do off top weight but has claims on his best turf form. All at sea in the soft going at Sandown on his last outing in August, he will be one to follow if adapting to the artificial surface. Colin Tinkler has wasted no time getting back amongst the winners, so any money for Dr Cerullo should be noted, while Sir Frank Gibson, from the powerful stable of Mark Johnston could be interesting on his all-weather debut. For the winner though we return to Maunby Raver to gain another nursery success.
