      In depth

      Formwatch

Pluralist (IRE) Bits of form give him a chance but he's not the most likely looking winner of this race, particularly as he's had a break

Spanish Star Goes well here but has gone up in the handicap for some fair efforts at this level this season; may find one or two too good again

Naked Oat Seems better at Wolverhampton at around 8/9f; others preferred

Summer Break (IRE) Possibly did not act on the Lingfield AW last time; fairly recent recruit to this country and has tried hurdling; not without ability and stays this trip; can't be ruled out

Classic Manoeuvre (USA) Long absence before last run which suggested a bit more to come; however, would need to come on a good bit for that Lingfield AW run

Challenger Two (IRE) Best effort on Flat came at 6f; has an absence to overcome also and others are preferred

Perchancer (IRE) A winner here over a mile but has never won beyond 9f; caught the eye on his seasonal reappearance but disappointed next time; not without ability but not one to place absolute faith in

Colombe d'Or Has won here but seems best at around a mile

Joely Green Bits of form say he's not badly handicapped; acts on the surface and seems to stay this trip OK

Kennet Good rider booked and capable of running a good race; trip and going OK and must have a chance

The Bargate Fox Not without a chance on the best of last season's form; stays this trip but lacks a recent run

Wonderful Man Little recent Flat form so others are preferred

Sorrento King Fairly lightly raced for a 4yo and has not raced since August of last year; not without ability but could need this run

Rayware Boy (IRE) Tends to get behind in his raced these days; stays this trip and has won three times here, including at today's distance; lacks a recent run

Red Sun Has not run for the best part of two years and is hard to fancy today

Nafith Won on the Fibresand last year but had training problems subsequently and was then sold cheaply; little show on reappearance and hard to build a case for him today
