Verdict
Tony McCoy will remember Valfonic for a long-time as it was aboard this son of Zafonic that McCoy reached the landmark of 270 winners in one season. The drying ground was thought to be the reason for the improved performance from Valfonic that day and it brought about a marked progression in his display. He will be hard to beat again here if he displays the same turn of foot and has to be respected in an event, the like of which, his connections treat as their bread and butter racing. Amjad and Massimo are both open to some improvement and could give McCoy¿s mount something to think about, as could Ritchie¿s Delight, who is nothing but game and consistent.
