In depth

Verdict

Kitty Brown finished second here in April but has some catching up to do if she's to match the three that head the weights. Sandsman's Girl was predictably outclassed in the Queen Mary at Ascot having won her maiden at Redcar before that. She still makes more appeal than The Dandy Yank, placed on his last couple of starts on Turf without threatening the winner. MECCA'S ANGEL opened her account at Haydock last time having been denied by only a neck at Thirsk on her debut. It was soft ground on that occasion which suggests she'll take to this surface and she gets the nod.
