        Verdict

        The progressive PRINCE ABU has now won three of his last four outings with last week’s success over 2m at Kempton the most impressive yet. He forged clear in the final furlong on that occasion and Derek Shaw’s charge can defy a 5lb penalty over this extra distance. First Charge had been in fine form before losing a shoe at Newcastle and beat Mukha Magic at Kempton earlier while Black Kalanisi landed an amateurs’ race back on the Flat here last time and will stay this marathon trip.
