SCRUFFY SKIP has solid claims in an open finale whilst Big Boom and Smart Spark may emerge as interesting runners. The selection has been enjoying a purple patch of form on both the all-weather and turf this spring which has seen his mark rise by 12lbs since the start of the season. A bit more is clearly required as a result but he's at the top of his game at present and should go close. Smart Spark's credentials are less obvious after just five career starts in Ireland where her best performance came on the all-weather surface at Dundalk. She's an interesting runner for new connections and market support would be encouraging. Big Boom ran respectively here over a year ago and has made gradual progression since then; he's entitled to have benefited from his reappearance at Yarmouth last month and the booking of Seb Sanders suggests that a big run is expected. The booking of Kieren Fallon for Crocodile Bay is also noteworthy whilst Megalo Maniac and Kielty's Folly are amongst others to consider but Scruffy Skip may be able to account for all of them.
