In depth

Verdict

TOBRATA disappointed last time but is preferred to Granakey and Special Cuvee. In fact, Special Cuvee was probably the more disappointing of the pair when they clashed in a better class race over course and distance given that the Haynes runner was the market leader and the Brittain contender one of the outsiders. Tobrata has a 3lb swing in the weights for 3 lengths and was also well below his consistent best on that occasion so, with the yard firing on all cylinders, he's taken to bounce back. Special Cuvee is without the blinkers that he was wearing for the first time that day and could fare better back in his customary visor although he was a shade disappointing on Wednesday. Granakey's three career successes have all come at this track and she's 9lbs lower than for the last of them; that did come some time ago but she'd still be well handicapped even if she picks up a penalty on Thursday. Dontuwishitwereso and Positivity are others with claims but we'll opt for Tobrata.
