        Verdict

Dougie Boy made the better debut of the two with experience and he should have come on for the outing. As regards the newcomers, breeding suggests Manderston, Darnathean and Bojangle may do better over further in time, but the booking of Tom Queally for Abercandy points to a big run from him and he's preferred to stablemate Cotes Du Rhone. MITCHUM is a half-brother to Pepper Lane, who was beaten only a head on her racecourse debut for David Barron, and he gets the nod here especially if the betting speaks in his favour.
