Verdict
Piddies Pride is the pick over Orchestration, Angelofthenorth and Harrington Bates. Piddies Pride is a filly that only ever does enough, her last five successes having been gained at the most, by the margin of a neck, so do not expect a convincing performance here. However, Gay Kelleway's inmate has shown enough since winning at Folkestone in August to suggest that her turn is near again. In truth she has little to fear in this poor contest, with Orchestration being one of her main rivals. Placed twice earlier in the year, he returns from a three-month break and bids to prove that he stays a sixth furlong here, having won three times over the minimum in the past. Angelofthenorth is out of form at present, while Harrington Bates has only shown a glimmer of what he is capable of in the past. Piddies Pride has more claims than most.
