In depth
Verdict
Rutledge Red is on a four-timer and the TEAMtalk selection. The Roselier gelding is still improving but has to have plenty of respect for the former Nicky Henderson inmate, Ferrets Hill, who will strip fitter for his Wetherby reappearance 27 days ago. He is only lightly raced and has scope for improvement. Jonjo O'Neill runs Bangor runner-up Celtic Vision. He ran well in good bumpers last season and, too, has scope for improvement. Meldrum Star's win at Haydock is solid and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the step up in trip. Ruby Walsh is an interesting booking for Idealko, a four-time winner over fences in Ireland, on only his second start in this country.
