        Verdict

        HAWKSPRING made his racecourse debut only last week and given his noteworthy connections he was of some interest. He failed to attract any market support and is clearly no star but although beaten into fifth place, if he does improve from that he could well beat this moderate bunch. Jonah's Cruising and Svindal are others to consider. The first mentioned makes her debut for Jim Boyle having been trained by the recently relocated Mark Wallace. She showed good battling qualities to win at Kempton on her second start but was very disappointing in heavy ground at Nottingham last time. Svindal is a maiden after six starts and he had two good efforts in selling company before disappointing slightly last time. Captain Cavendish beat Svindal on his second start but did not appear at home on this surface on his final start. Hollow Green appears best suited on testing ground. It is a seller that will not take much winning and Hawkspring is the selection.
