In depth

Verdict

Ferdy Murphy's yard appears to be running into a bit of form and SEIGNEUR DES BOIS could be worth an interest in this, despite top weight. He was beaten in a three-runner race at Bangor last month but that was his first run since November and it may be that he's simply taken longer to acclimatise to his new surroundings than expected. Catterick winner Saddlers Deal ran a lifeless race when odds-on at Newcastle next time but The Darling Boy has claims on his recent second at Stratford and Jersey Boys could easily improve now tackling the larger obstacles.
