      Verdict

      HOME ended a long losing run on the Flat when scoring for the fifth time at this track a week ago. That victory should have restored some confidence and Brendan Powell's charge could well follow up as he remains on a winning mark. My Mate Mal bounced back to form with a decent second to the progressive Stanley Rigby last month, but has reverted to type since with a couple of poor runs on Polytrack. Sea Cliff has been in fine form over timber and his only win on the Flat came over 2m here, but Kingaroo and Okalydokely remain woefully out of form.
