In depth

Verdict

Ballyvesey's defeat of Rokinhorsescience was not franked by the runner-up's disappointing effort at Stratford on Thursday evening and Peter Bowen's gelding looks best passed over having been raised 6lb since his narrow second behind Rifleman at Worcester and a better bet looks to be Sarah Humphrey's lightly raced I NEED A HERO, who looks be going the right way and would not need to improve much from only his second start over fences at Uttoxeter behind The Shoe last month to take this. Oliver Sherwood's Strong Coffee ran well behind Thenameescapesme last time and has place claims, while Jonjo O'Neill's Badger Foot should again be thereabouts but is likely to find at least one too good. Kisha King was going well before unseating his rider on his latest start last month and would have chances if his jumping holds up.
