      Verdict

      This looks between the top two in the weights. BEAUTIFUL DAY seemed to be in the handicapper's grip before popping-up over C&D last Sunday with a cosy defeat of Il Battista. Dropping down a grade today, he makes more appeal under a penalty than St Oswald. The latter carries 6lb extra for scoring over 7f in similar company at this track last week but has a bit more to prove than the selection. Rizcar is another 7f winner at this course but she ran a shocker here last time and has something to find on earlier running with Putin. The last-named has been well beaten on both occasions since his victory over track and trip but still looks best of the rest.
