In depth

Verdict

WEST END ROCKER looks nicely treated in this novice chase and sets the standard ahead of Shining Gale and Radetsky March. The selection carries no penalties and has shown a strong level of form in his two chase runs to date. He has not been seen since finishing a fair third to Ballyfitz at Cheltenham back in November so comes into this contest fresher than most. On the ratings he has every chance of winning this so he is difficult to oppose. Shining Gale has done little wrong this season winning two of his three starts over fences. The second of those victories came in a competitive affair at Cheltenham proving himself to be useful. A fall at Kempton thereafter looked unfortunate but life will now be difficult for him with the penalties to carry so he has to be treated with some caution. Radetsky March put a disappointing reappearance behind him to score at Fontwell last time out. He was a big priced winner that day and will have to improve once again to figure here. So for the winner we return to West End Rocker.
