In depth

Verdict

MASTERFUL ACT has won three times on the Fibresand since November, including once over today's distance. That experience shouldn't be underestimated and he can give the weight away to Hazy Tom, a staying-on third in a better contest at Kempton last month. Charlie Longsdon's eight-year-old won a couple of bumpers at the start of his career and is no mug but this will be his first taste of this surface. Bruslini would have a shout on past form on the Flat but has had only had one run in the last 18 months and finished tailed off in that. Hellesbelles may be best of the rest.
