In depth

Verdict

This looks wide-open but the draw hasn't been kind to last month's course and distance winner Colourbearer, Alpha Tauri or Lady Ibrox. Scott Dixon runs two but Spowarticus carries a penalty for last week's win in lesser company and Luke Morris prefers Cadeaux Pearl, who is probably better handicapped. David Evans also has two entries with Wolverhampton scorer Black Dave preferred to the out-of-sorts Archie Stevens. FOXTROT JUBILEE was behind Alpha Tauri and Fortinbrass when making his Fibresand debut over 5f here last week. But that had all the hallmarks of a fact-finding mission as this is more his trip and Frederick Tylicki takes over the reins from a 7lb claimer - Ralph Beckett's sprinter is fancied to do much better today. Red Tide has won twice over track and trip and can't be discounted.
