In depth

Verdict

Harvest Song won a maiden hurdle at Fontwell around this time last year but, in common with most of Henrietta Knight's horses, was well below par over the winter. He could do better now his attention is switched to fences. A similar remark could be applied to L'Eldorado but AMAZING KING was a far better hurdler than both and ran a lot better than his final placing suggests at Aintree last month. Over this trip, he may just have too much speed for Points Of View who seemed to appreciate the longer trip when second at Uttoxeter. Laureldean River returns from a break and probably needs softer ground but should be noted for future reference.
