Wise Hawk and Solo Choice, who head the weights, have had 36 career starts between them without winning, which says plenty about the quality of this race. It's exactly a year since Prize Fighter almost pulled off a shock 100/1 victory in a Doncaster handicap and he's probably capable of a big effort on his day though they have been very infrequent. He is closely matched with PINEWOOD LEGEND on a line through Spice Bar, who has beaten both recently, but the latter just gets the nod as he's managed a couple of reasonable efforts this season. Bari Bay continues to drop in the weights which is hardly surprising given that she's a maiden after 26 runs.
