Verdict
Decision Maker found only one too good in a similar maiden race here last month but is now a four-year-old and has to give a stack of weight to AXE CAP. The latter finished clear of the rest when runner-up over track and trip on New Year’s Day and should come out best on these terms. Mearing has a shout debuting on the Fibresand along with Kodi Beach and Madame Ritz while it would be no surprise if the Kevin Ryan-trained Royal Pursuit finished a lot closer.
