Verdict
A low-grade event, albeit a fairly competitive one, with a number of possible amongst the 11-strong field. The weights are headed by Maraud who has been a little below his best of late but has claims off a mark just 3lb higher compared to his decisive victory at Catterick in November. Win A lot has been struggling to make an impact on the all-weather this winter but had previously shown respectable form over timber including a win in a seller which gives the five-year-old every chance. Brush A King, who stayed on strongly to score at Catterick last month, is likely to show a little improvement for the step up to this trip while Arthurs Kingdom comes here in good heart and remains well treated on the pick of his form despite carrying a 7lb penalty for his recent success at Sedgefield. However, marginal preference is for Martha Reilly who takes a drop in grade having reached the frame on her last two starts. The seven-year-old is suited by both trip and ground so should go well with Mick Fitzgerald on board.
