In depth

Verdict

Anton Dolin is going to pop up sooner or later in his summer campaign for Richard Newland but he was beaten a long way here last time after a promising seasonal reappearance. He's hard to assess as a result and maybe the market will prove the best guide to his chances. Uno Valoroso chased home the vastly-improved Playhara last time and has claims if that form can be taken literally, while the money came for Midnight Thomas when the gelding showed much-improved form to score on the soft at Worcester. He's one to note and should be involved if as effective on this quicker ground. CATCHING ZEDS won on Polytrack over the winter and has produced decent efforts on both starts returned to hurdles. He's yet to win over timber but has every chance of putting that right off a workable mark.
