In depth
Verdict
Maunby Raver can add to recent gains at the expense of Only If I Laugh and Wares Home. Pat Haslam¿s charge was successful at Wolverhampton on his first start in nursery company nine days ago. It came as no real surprise as he had shaped well on turf previously. Maunby Raver should be well up to following up in this claimer and is the one to beat. Only If I Laugh won a couple of sellers in the summer, one of which was at Wolverhampton, so he should act here. However, he went off the boil towards the end of the turf season and is best watched. Wares Home takes a big drop in grade, having come up against the likes of Peak To Creek in competitive affairs during his brief career. Karl Burke¿s colt looks a banker for the frame at least, but Maunby Raver still makes most appeal and gets the vote.
