      Verdict

DAN DE LIGHT is a more backable proposition now returned to an artificial surface and much will rest upon the eye shields making a difference. Ustath wasn’t far away off this mark at Hamilton and he can be forgiven for being outpaced over five furlongs on a previous visit here. Good Listener is a player here if that run at Wolverhampton wasn’t a flash in the pan. The handicapper has evidently had a rethink about Banana having initially measured him by his juvenile form. Alafdhal was cheaply bought out of the Shadwell operation and the drop back to six furlongs was to work the oracle at Yarmouth before a narrow defeat over an extra furlong at Wolverhampton.
