Verdict
A fascinating little race and we are with Another Genepi taking the nomination ahead of Pietersen and Tamino. Another Genepi is always dangerous if granted a soft lead and having demonstrated a solid level of form at this track, he should be able to reproduce him again. Pietersen does tend to run well at this time of the year so he cannot be discounted in spite of some fairly ordinary form figures. Tamino has had a couple of sighters of late and won't be too far away. Louisiade has made hay of late for John Harris but was beaten on his first start for Michael Chapman. Course specialist, Wodhill Gold faced a tough task at the weights last time out against better opposition so it will be interesting to see how the market reacts. Imperial Sword has literally plummeted in the weights but he has been unable to take advantage. Another Genepi is hardly the most bombproof of selections but he has every opportunity to steal this from the gate.
