      Verdict

      FIERY SPICE has recorded a couple of course and distance wins in the process of notching a hat-trick. He’s penalised for his latest success here last week but has not stopped improving yet. Camargue has struggled in handicaps so far but has slipped down the weights and debuts on this surface along with Hamilton winner Reckless Serenade while Grecian Divine won twice when trained in Ireland last year. Erissimus Maximus won at Newcastle in January and an earlier close-up third on the Fibresand suggests he’s the main danger to the selection.
